Your Guide to a Cultural and Colorful Fall

As the season changes from summer to autumn, colors become brighter and leaves fall in their own rhythm. It’s the perfect time to enjoy nature’s beauty and the variety of creative arts that surround you in Dutchess County.

Wilderstein’s 5th Outdoor Sculpture Biennial showcases 25 sculptures by regional artists on the grounds of Wilderstein Historic Site in Rhinebeck. The grounds and exhibit are open daily, free of charge, through October 31 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. To learn more, visit wilderstein.org

Fall for Art is a village-wide art festival that takes place in the Village of Millerton on Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. The event is a collaboration between local artists and Millerton’s many merchants, to showcase both art and the village. To learn more, visit fallforart.com

ArtEast Open Studio Tour is an award-winning event now in its 13th year. Organized by the artist participants, this event gives attendees a rare and intimate look at 30 artists in their creative environments. This self-guided tour of artists’ studios is held during the peak of fall foliage in Dover Plains, Wingdale, Poughquag, Hopewell Junction, Pawling and Patterson on October 19 – 20 and 25 – 27, 2019. The Hudson Valley Philharmonic celebrates both its 60th season and the 50th anniversary of the moon landing on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 8:00 p.m. at the Bardavon 1869 Opera House.
