1. Hudson River Valley Ramble
When: All Weekends in September
Where: Various Locations

The Hudson River Valley Ramble is an annual event series that celebrates the history, culture and natural resources of the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area, as well as the amazing landscape, communities, and trails throughout the region.  Every September, ‘Ramblers’ come not only from the Hudson Valley region and New York State, but from other regions of the country as well to discover the riches our Valley has to offer.

2. Think Differently Dash
When: September 6, 2019
Where: Poughkeepsie

A 1 mile run/walk for all abilities in the heart of Poughkeepsie. This inclusive event is the perfect way to kick off the city wide First Friday street dance party and we welcome people of all abilities to join us in the fun!

3. Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest
When: September 7 & 8, 2019
Where: Dutchess County Fairgrounds, Rhinebeck

An annual celebration of the bounty of wine, craft beverages, specialty food and local product! Experience vendors from all over New York State in one beautiful location.  

4. Hudson Valley Craft Beer Festival
When: September 14, 2019
Where: Beacon Riverfront Park, Beacon

Sample over 180 craft beers from over 90 of America’s best craft breweries while enjoying live music, local vendors and delicious food. There will be VIP and general admission sampling sessions available so you can sip the day away while enjoying the scenic Hudson River views at Beacon’s waterfront!

5. Dutchess County Classic
When: September 15, 2019
Where: Poughkeepsie

This flat, off road, picturesque course is great for seasoned athletes and first timers alike. Showcasing the beauty of the Hudson Valley, including stunning Hudson River views. Race events will include a kids 1 mile race (free!), 5K, half marathon, and full marathon. A post-race celebration will follow.

6. Farm Garden Bouquet Making
When: September 21, 2019
Where: Harlem Valley Homestead

From seeding to arranging, learn the art of growing and designing bouquets with your own cut flowers. In this three hour class, participants will begin by exploring different garden planning techniques. Participants will use flowers and foliage harvested from the farm to craft their own hand-tied bouquet to take home. A great way to celebrate the fall season!

7. Tivoli Street Painting Festival
When: September 28, 2019
Where: Tivoli

The annual Tivoli Street Painting Festival is a colorful celebration in the charming village of Tivoli. All are welcome to register for a square and get supplies free of charge while enjoying live music and great community!

8. Brookby Farm Festival
When: September 28, 2019
Where: Brookby Farm, Dover Plains

A day full of fun-packed family activities and home cooked food! Throughout the day, enjoy tours of the milking barn, learn about the milking process and the history of our family farm. Cows will be out in pasture, giving visitors the opportunity to greet and interact them. They will also be hosting local food producers and artisans from around the Hudson Valley, who will be providing an intimate perspective of their passion, from cheese making to yarn spinning!

9. Stormville Airport’s Wine, Cider & Food Truck Festival
When: September 28, 2019
Where: Stormville Airport, Stormville

Come out to the Stormville Airport to enjoy wine, cider and spirits! There will be over 40 different wines, ciders, and spirits and more than 15 food trucks. With a kids zone, live music, Border Wars car show and more – fun for the whole family!

10. National Alpaca Days
When: September 28 & 29, 2019
Where: Lilymoore Farm, Pleasant Valley

Come to Lilymoore Farm, meet the alpacas, hear the live band, shop vendor village and have a ton of fun! Do the Chicken Dance with a chicken, watch the animals as they participate in our tutu parade – and hey, if you wear a tutu and you can participate too!
