First Day Hike on the Walkway Over the Hudson

Join Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park staff and members of the Walkway community for the annual First Day Hike on New Year’s Day. The whole family (including leashed pets!) are welcome on this easy 1-to-3-mile hike. The Walkway Over the Hudson is 1.28 miles from gate-to-gate. Both entrances will be open. Hikers will meet at the Center Overlook (by the flagpole) at 2pm for giveaways and hot chocolate.

‘Chili’ Weather Weekends

Kakizome Japanese Traditional First Writing of the Year

This Japanese cultural program celebratrd the traditional first calligraphy writing of the New Year. This annual writing is traditionally in a poetic calligraphic form expressing peoples hopes and aspirations for the coming year.

Hops on the Hudson: NY Craft Beer and Football Playoff Party - CANCELLED

Hyde Park Winter Fest

Franklin D. Roosevelt’s 138th Birthday Celebration

Each year the National Park Service holds a Rose Garden Ceremony to commemorate Franklin Roosevelt's birthday. Following the ceremony, the FDR Presidential Library will invite attendees to return to the Wallace Center for birthday cake and refreshments. This event is free public event.

12th Annual Robbie Burns Night

Celebrating the life and art of the legendary poet Robert Burns. A much-anticipated tradition in the Hudson Valley.
