About
As the season comes to an end, this month's featured photographer shifts perspectives to share some of our visitor's favorite summer moments captured through their lens! Share your experience with us by using #mydutchessstory and tagging us @dutchesstourism.
Cool-off during the summer with your entire family at SplashDown Beach Water Park in Fishkill. From taking a dip in the Croc Creek Wavy Lazy River, to taking a drop in the near-vertical Megalodon, there's fun to be had for all ages. Known as America's Biggest Little Water Park this aerial shot by Nimbus Photography perfectly captures this small but mighty attraction.
You can't make a trip to Dutchess without exploring the waters! If you rather be paddling like @mjbettina, embark on an adventure waiting on the Hudson River, or take a scenic stroll through the Tivoli Bays and the Wappingers Creek. For more ways to enjoy the waters, click here.
Get a taste of Dutchess through our agricultural scene! Visit one of our many farms like Fishkill Farms in Hopewell Junction and pick your own fruit and veggies. Don't leave without tasting the tree-to-bottle cider at Treasury Cider Bar located on the rolling hills of the farm. Then, just like Pastry Chef Jesse Jackson III, make a delicious sweet treat with your pickings of the day!
Without a doubt, one of our favorite things about Dutchess in the summer is the annual Dutchess County Fair in Rhinebeck! From shopping the local vendors to indulging in delicious treats, spend all day exploring on the grounds. Visit the livestock like digital creator Upstate Latina and catch a pig race, dog show or if you're lucky, you might get to witness a calf birth in the dairy center!
Have some fun at a ball game! Watch the Hudson Valley Renegades in Wappingers Falls, a New York Yankee High-A affiliate, play home games at Dutchess Stadium. With themed nights for optimal family fun and a firework finale on weekends, this is a must-do when visiting Dutchess! Plus, you may be able to catch an epic sunset like @bit_tah_nee14!
