About
To celebrate International Women’s Day (March 8), here are just a few of the incredible, award-winning women who make Dutchess a premier tourist destination. Many of these businesses and organizations can attribute their success to hard-working, female professionals on their teams. Each year, Dutchess Tourism recognizes tourism businesses that provide exceptional offerings to our visitors with Awards of Distinction in multiple categories. The 2025 Awards of Distinction Breakfast will be held in November. Stay tuned for details.
Director of Operations at the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome, Red Hook
Asked to summarize with the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome offers its visitors, Tara said this: "The Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome is a living history museum and attraction of early aviation. Flying 38 airshows a year with over 70 planes in the collection, we are globally recognized as a premier collection and display of early aircraft. There is no better way to learn than to see, hear and feel it for yourself! Now in our 66th season, the Aerodrome is a unique gem in Dutchess County and the Hudson Valley."

Boutique Wines, Spirits & Ciders was awarded for its continuous efforts to collaborate with other local businesses and community partners to significantly drive tourism to the area and strengthen their businesses. When asked what was gained by forging these partnerships, Paige replied: "We learned that so many other small businesses, particularly ones in our own backyard, are innovative, easy to work with, and team players. We enjoy working with other businesses to get a unique external perspective about the market, customers and industry trends. This is more than simply selling bottles, it is about building relationships and community."
