Easter Fun in Dutchess County

Consider this your invitation to visit Dutchess County this spring! Celebrate Easter with the kids at any of our fun events, and enjoy a delectable brunch or dinner with the family. There is so much to see and do here in the heart of New York's Hudson Valley. Our acres upon acres of pastoral farmland are awakening from their winter slumber, and our miles and miles of scenic hiking trails are beckoning for you to come and explore.

Fun for All Ages

Easter Bunny Visits at the Poughkeepsie Galleria (April 4–19): Register online to book your photo op. Sensory-friendly visits set for April 6, 9–10:30 a.m. Pet Night with the Easter Bunny on April 8 and 14, 4–7 p.m.

Bonnet Bonanza (April 5, 6, 12, 13 and 19 at Lilymoore Farm, Pleasant Valley): This delightful one-hour event features Lilymoore's alpacas and llamas dressed in their fanciest hats.

• Wappinger Egg Hunt (Saturday, April 5, 1 p.m., at Robinson Lane Park, Wappingers Falls): Egg hunt; Easter Bunny; games, crafts, and snacks.

Lunch With the Easter Bunny (Saturday, April 12, 11:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m., at Shadows on the Hudson, Poughkeepsie): Prix fixe menu featuring Easter favorites for both adults and kids, along with Shadows' regular a la carte menu.

Stormville Fire House Pancake Breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt (Sunday, April 13, 8–11:30 a.m.): All-you-can-eat breakfast including pancakes, bacon, sausages, hash browns, bagels and an omelet station, along with coffee, tea and juice; egg hunt for kids under 13.

Hi Hopes Thoroughbred Rescue Easter Egg Hunt and Activity Day (Sunday, April 13, 11 a.m., at Hi Hopes Thoroughbred Rescue, Wappingers Falls): Egg hunts divided into age groups; horseshoe painting; pony rides; refreshments available.

• Reach Out Church Easter EGGstravaganza 2025 (Sunday, April 13, 12:30 p.m., at Reach Out Church, Hyde Park): Egg hunts divided into age groups; egg races; family photo booth.

• Egg Hunts For All (Saturday, April 19, 10 a.m., at Tymor Park, Union Vale): Traditional egg hunts divided into age groups; separate low-vision, sensory-friendly and wheelchair-accessible egg hunts.

Historic Red Hook Community Day (Saturday, April 19, 12–4 p.m., at the Elmendorph Green, Red Hook): Music, spirit tastings, Easter egg hunt, pet adoption event, tours of the Elmendorph Inn.

Egg Hunt (Saturday, April 19, 1 p.m., at Greig Farm, Red Hook): Hunt for eggs (ages 3–12) and visit the adorable Pygmy Goat family.

• Easter at the Ballpark with the Hudson Valley Renegades (Sunday, April 20, 2:05 p.m., at Heritage Financial Park, Wappingers Falls): The Renegades, a Class-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, host the Wilmington Blue Rocks in a South Atlantic League game. There will be fun for the whole family with face painting, balloon artists and more. Fans are welcome to bring their dogs to the ballpark for every Sunday home game. Kids and dogs are invited down to the field after the game to run the bases just like the Renegades!

Curry Estate (Hopewell Junction): Brunch seatings at 9:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.; egg hunts at 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Mill Creek Caterers (Hopewell Junction): Brunch buffet 11 a.m.–2 p.m.; photos with the Easter Bunny.

• Shadows on the Hudson (Poughkeepsie): Brunch buffet 9:30 a.m.–1 p.m.; dinner 1–6 p.m.

• The Grandview (Poughkeepsie): Buffet 12–4 p.m.

Troutbeck (Amenia): Brunch 12–8 p.m.; egg hunt for dining and in-house guests at 11 a.m.

Villa Borghese (Wappingers Falls): Brunch 11 a.m.–3 p.m.; photos with the Easter Bunny.
