The Hudson Valley Renegades are the High-A affiliate of the New York Yankees in the South Atlantic League and play a schedule of 66 regular-season home games at Dutchess Stadium from April through early September. If majestic views and colorful scenery are what you’re after, then Locust Grove Estate is perfect for your next family picnic! Set on a bluff high above the Hudson River, Locust Grove offers nearly 200 acres of ornately landscaped gardens and five miles of hiking trails, along with historic buildings, art galleries, museum exhibits and classrooms for educational programs. The Italianate-style main house on the property was built for Samuel F. B. Morse in 1850 and is now open for tours. The Museum Pavilion houses an exhibit that explores Morse’s two careers, first as an artist and later as the inventor of the telegraph and Morse Code.
