Fishkill Farms’ Treasury Cider Bar, located on the Northside of their covered porch in Hopewell Junction, offers cider tastings with expansive orchard views. What’s mead you ask? Mead is a honey-based alcoholic beverage, which is considered the first to be fermented in the entire history of humankind, dating to roughly 10,000 years ago. In order to be a mead, its primary fermented sugars must come from honey. Slate Point Meadery in Poughkeepsie adds different ingredients to create a variety of flavor profiles. Their new tasting room next to Zeus Brewing Co. in the Queen City Lofts Building.
