2019 St. Patrick's Day Parade of Green in Beacon
The City of Beacon’s second annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on Saturday, March 9th, 2019 at 11am. No doubt – it’s fast becoming a must see tradition!
The Green Team is gearing up for its fourth successful St. Paddy's Day parade! They hope to see lots of SMILING IRISH EYES all along the parade route - even if those eyes that may only be Irish for the day! Parade begins at 11am sharp.

Paddy On the River Returns
Paddy On The River returns to the Hudson Valley on Saturday, March 9th at Waryas Park in Poughkeepsie from 11am till 5pm. Derek Dempsey will be headlining, with additional entertainment by The Mighty Ploughboys, McGroovin’ and Ireland the Band as they join Dempsey to entertain you all afternoon!
Paddy also features a large selection of food trucks, restaurants, and other vendors with fun for the whole family. Waryas Park is located at the foot of Main Street on the Hudson Riverfront
Several ticket options are available, including early purchase discounts and VIP tickets.
Getting to Paddy on the River is easy whether you are coming from New York City or Beacon. No matter where you are, a short train ride on the Metro-North Hudson line to the Poughkeepsie station gets you within a few minutes walking distance to the festival. So gather your friends and enjoy Dutchess County St. Patrick’s Celebration along the shores of the beautiful Hudson River. For train schedules, see mta.info/
Prefer to drive? Simply head to the Poughkeepsie Train Station (GPS: 35 Main Street, Poughkeepsie, 12601), park in the parking garage (free on weekends) and just walk down the hill to the event.
Irish Step Dancing Dinner Show at the Beekman Arms
The Tavern at the Beekman Arms in Rhinebeck presents an Irish Step Dancing Dinner show on March 10th, 2019!
The Mighty Ploughboys are one of those bands that make you want to be Irish! This five piece celtic rock powerhouse out of Danbury, CT blends classic rock and traditional Irish styles to create hard driving music that could be classified as its own genre. Since 2010, Mighty Ploughboys have been on the frontline of Irish/Celtic Contemporary Rock scene in the tri-state area. Daryl’s House, Route 22 Pawling. Doors open at 5pm, show time is 7pm. $10 general admission. Advanced ticket purchase is strongly suggested.
