The Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum is an award-winning museum filled with exhibits and programs that focus on science, and local community. This museum is the ideal destination for families with children ages 0-12. The museum provides an environment that allow children the opportunity to develop foundational skills, to engage in purposeful play, and to develop interpersonal connections. It is located on the picturesque waterfront in Poughkeepsie and is located near restaurants, parks, the Walkway Over the Hudson, and more. 

Family Free Nights offered on the third Saturday of each month from 5-8 p.m. Recognized as an Autism Supportive Environment℠ Partner with sensory aids available. Participates in reciprocal museum membership programs of ACM and ASTC (Note: some geographic restrictions apply). Winner Dutchess Tourism Family Entertainment Award of Distinction Awarded the 2019 Leading Edge Award for Business Practice by the Association of Science-Technology Centers for our creation of the  Poughkeepsie Waterfront Market
