Visit the oldest house in Dutchess County, located in Beacon. This Dutch-style home was built in 1709 by Roger and Catheryna Brett and stayed within seven generations of the same family. The home functions as a museum and features original scalloped shingles, Dutch doors and sloping dormers. The interior includes original Georgian, Empire and Victorian furniture. This historical site is being preserved by The Melzingah Chapter and Daughters of the American Revolution.
