Appreciate the performing, cultural and visual arts at two beautiful historic landmark Victorian-age Italianate buildings located at 9 & 12 Vassar Street in downtown Poughkeepsie. Built in the late 1880's, they host dance, music, drama, lectures, films and theater performances in the 200 seat VBI Theatre and present rotating exhibits in their three art galleries. Plus, there is a Dance Studio, Conference Room, and a magnificent Grand Parlor that can accommodate groups up to 100 people. Historic guided tours given upon request. Both the VBI Theatre and Grand Parlor are available to rent for any special event or occasion including weddings.
