Discover the ruins of this Scottish-style castle on the Hudson River was built in the early 1900s by Frank Bannerman, VI. to store military surplus items. The Pollepel shuttles you from the Beacon Institute Floating Dock to the island for a guided walking tour around the castle, residence, and restored gardens.
Enjoy special events, movie nights, lectures, musical performances, and theatrical events by Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival and Theatre on the Road.
Note: Trails have some rough terrain as well as 75 stairs. Accessible via water only. Advance booking is required for all tours!
