Bes Millerton presents a new art exhibition featuring a selection of paintings and collages by Todd Colby titled "I Would Like to Know More About This Century, Like How Does Everyone Do It?"

Colby is a visual artist and poet and has recently presented work at Platform Project Space, Andrew Edlin Gallery, Tanya Grunert Gallery, Legion Arts, White Columns Artist Registry, and The Picture Room. He has given readings at DIA Art Foundation, MoMA PS1, The Public Theater, Hudson Opera House, The Poetry Project, and The Whitney Museum of American Art, among others. He is the author of seven books of poetry, most recently, "It’s Okay to See Ghosts Now."

The exhibit opens on April 27 and runs through May 24. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday. The opening reception on April 27 will feature poetry readings by Todd Colby and fellow local poet Brandon Downing.


Downing is a poet, visual artist and filmmaker. His published collections include "The Shirt Weapon," "Dark Brandon," "AT ME," and "Mellow Actions." A monograph of his literary collages from 1996 to 2008, "Lake Antiquity," was published by Fence Books in 2010.
