Cocktails — their ingredients, their stories, their pageantry — reveal unexpected aspects of American society. Staatsburgh Historic Site Assistant Zachary Veith will explore social scandals, women’s suffrage, American imperialism, and other influences behind the popular mixed drinks of yesterday and today.
