Witness a stellar event and experience one of the universe’s greatest cosmic coincidences at the Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum Pavilion with the Total Solar Eclipse viewing party!

Though Poughkeepsie is not in the path of totality for this total eclipse, we will experience just over 90% eclipse coverage.

This event will be in the MHDM Pavilion, as the museum itself will be closed.

It is sure to be a celebration to remember with engaging STEAM programs, delicious food, and a galaxy of solar-themed activities, including:

• Kids activities and eclipse crafts
• Eclipse science demonstrations
• New StarLab Planetarium presentations about the solar system and the universe beyond
• Temporary and glitter tattoos
• Safe solar glasses (two per family, free with tickets)
