Germania of Poughkeepsie Hosts Oktoberfest

Germania of Poughkeepsie presents Oktoberfest 2023, a fun, festive — and authentic — Oktoberfest at the Germania Festival Grounds. The three-day celebration will be held Sept. 8 from 5–10 p.m., Sept. 9 from 1–10 p.m. and Sept. 10 from 12–5 p.m. Enjoy live German bands, German food, home-baked German desserts, traditional German beer, children’s entertainment, Bavarian dancers and singers and more! Germania of Poughkeepsie, founded 1850, is committed to the education of German heritage and culture. Germania hosts various authentic cultural events throughout the year, including an annual Maifest, Oktoberfest, Christkindlmarkt, the Heritage Day Bake Sale, biergartens, authentic German dinners, and Wednesday Stammtisch, among others.
