"Eleanor & Alice - A Conversation" at Franklin D. Roosevelt Library

A new play Written by Ellen Abrams, Directed by Scott Klaven

Eleanor and Alice Roosevelt were two renowned and admired women of their time. First cousins, born the same year, both daughters of wealth and privilege. The wife and duaghter of two of the most beloved presidents in American history, they differed on everything - poltics, passions and life. What they shared was their struggle as intelligent capable women to make themselves heard. To make a difference in the fate of their country, world and family.

Eleanor and Alice: A conversation between two remarkable Roosevelts reveal a complicted relationship where victory for one might mean failure for the other. A relationship with natural antigonisms, where personal was always political. This conversation represets no one but themselves. Free to express their deepest, hopes, anxieties, regret and heartbreak over children, husbands and parents.
