Dutchess County Fair – August 22-27, 2017: Year after year the Dutchess County Fair returns to Rhinebeck and draws crowds of over 500,000 people, the second largest county fair in all of New York State. The fair continues to be a Dutchess County staple, and an event that attracts both locals and visitors alike.   8. Hudson Valley Wine and Food Fest – September 9-10, 2017: Celebrating their 16th year, the Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest is a celebration of the gourmet lifestyle in the region. The Fest features hundreds of wines from all over New York and the world, more than 100 gourmet specialty food, fine art, & lifestyle vendors, food sampling from some of the region's best restaurants and live entertainment.

  9. Beacon Independent Film Festival – September 15-17, 2017: This year marks the 5th Annual Beacon Independent Film Festival (BIFF). The Fest showcases features, shorts, documentaries and more. Panel discussions, food vendors, green space, interactive activities for kids and adults and a kids’ tent make it an event for the whole family. Come for a single movie, a day, or the whole weekend.

Hudson Valley Vegfest – September 23-24, 2017: It may not technically still be summer, but we just couldn’t keep this one off the list! 2017 will mark the first annual Hudson Valley Vegfest, and its goal is to showcase the absolute best of everything green, vegetable, plant-based, healthy and compassionate in the Hudson Valley.
