A Dozen Outdoor Music Events in Dutchess

Summer is the perfect time to have a night out, and there is no better (and safe) activity to enjoy than an outdoor concert! Here are our A Dozen Outdoor Live Music Events in Dutchess County. 

1. Bands in the Sand at DC Sports 

You don’t need to travel to the seaside for sandy feet and live music! Join DC Sports’ FREE live concerts series, Bands in the Sand, every Saturday from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. until the end of summer. Bring your sandals, your beach chairs, and enjoy the Tiki Bar serving drinks all night. Head over a bit earlier for a round of mini golf! Food is also available, kids are welcome. 2. Millbrook Vineyards & Winery’s Summer Saturdays

Enjoy some great food truck cuisine at the vineyard every Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Hosting different food trucks each week, visitors are welcome to bring lawn chairs, enjoy picnic tables on the property or join the taproom terrace. For more details and a list of food trucks, click here. After you’ve grabbed your savory meal, enjoy their Summer Saturday Vineyard Vibes Jazz Concerts! These open-air performances start at 5:30 p.m. Seating will be limited and preassigned. Purchase tickets here.

3. Live Music at Grand Cru

Refresh yourself with a tall glass of craft beer and live music at Grand Cru in Rhinebeck each weekend in August. Take aseat in their outdoor area, bring a picnic blanket or lawn chairs, and enjoy their cheese and charcuterie plates. Throughout the month, look out for pop up food trucks like Grille Wagon BBQ, coming August 14. See their schedule of live music here.

4. Live Music at Le Chambord at Curry Estate

Spend a pleasant evening filled with music and dinner at Le Chambord at Curry Estate. Listen to the eclectic sound of Hurley Mountain Highway, a four piece acoustic group playing the finest 60’s and 70’s tunes on Sunday, August 9 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at their Lobster Clam Festival! Plus, happening every Thursday from 6:00 p.m to 10:00 p.m. is live music by Johnny Dell. Don’t miss the incredibly soulful and fun musical style of The Jon Bates Band on August 14 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. All live music is in their outdoor pavilion. 5. Southern Dutchess Concert Band

For audiences of all ages, the Southern Dutchess Concert Band will perform at a number of outdoor locations in the southern part of the county. This 50-piece band performs an array of crowd-pleasing show tunes, popular standards, marches, light classical and wind ensemble music. 6. Clermont Historic Site Harmonies on the Hudson Concert Series

Thursday evenings this summer, check out the Clermont Historic Site’s Harmonies on the Hudson Outdoor Concert Series! Relax on their beautiful lawn adjacent to the mansion and enjoy a FREE outdoor concert. Bring a blanket, chair and a picnic. Children are welcome! Concerts begin at 6:00 p.m. Travel back in time to the 60’s with the musical styles of Jim Gaudet and The Railroad Boys, performing August 13. Catch the internationally renowned Slam Allen and his dynamic sound, a combination of Blues, Soul, R&B and touch of Rock and Roll, on August 20.

 

7. Free Summer Concert Series at Maurer-Geering Park 

Enjoy some fresh air with the family at the FREE Summer Concert Series at Maurer-Geering Park. This series of concerts will be held every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. (Thursdays will be the rain date) for the month of August. Guests are welcome to bring picnic blankets, lawn chairs, and snacks! 8. Summer Concert Series at Schlathaus Park

Bring a lawn chair, your dancing shoes and some dinner to the Summer Concert Series at Schlathaus Park. Happening every Thursday, these FREE to the public outdoor concerts starts at 7:00 p.m. Although dancing is welcomed, guests are asked to please follow social distancing. 9. Live Music at J. Dominick’s Trattoria

Taste the home-style Italian food of J. Dominick’s Trattoria in their outdoor seating area while listening to live music! Performing on Saturday, August 22 at 6:00 p.m. is Vito Petroccitto, a country folk singer and songwriter. 10. Live Music at Quartchetti's Roadside Cafe

Enjoy an evening listening to live music and having dinner in Quartchetti's Roadside Cafe’s new outdoor seating area! Happening on weekends throughout August, customers can attend live events in their outdoor tent. 11. Free Summer Concert Series at Pete and Toshi Seeger Park

Beacon Rec has teamed up with Compass Arts Creativity Project and Gwen Laster of Creative Strings Improvisers Orchestra (and Compass Arts board member) to bring a FREE physically distanced family entertainment series to Pete and Toshi Seeger Park on Tuesdays at 5:00 p.m. Reservations are required, as there are a limited number of seats available for each performance. Beacon Rec will be plotting out safe, physically distanced seating to accommodate families of up to 4 people however it is highly recommended that masks be worn. To make reservations and concert schedules click here

12. Rhinebeck Area Chamber Presents Music on Market

Come out and enjoy Rhinebeck's downtown shopping and eating destinations that will now be filled with light music every Friday evening. Live music will be played at a select village outdoor location throughout the month of August from 5:00 p.m. to  7:00 p.m. Join the kick-off event Friday, August 7 with musicians Steve Gravino and Rick Winne, who are known as "The Duo".  For more information click here.
