Places to Warm Up This Winter in Dutchess County

Winter is definitely here and temperatures are getting frigid in Dutchess. It’s this time of year that we start to seek out places to warm up indoors. From hot cocoa to hot yoga, we’ve got a wide variety of places to escape this cold this season!

The Lounge at The Roundhouse – Beacon
Step off Main Street and let the hustle and bustle melt away as you warm up at The Lounge at the Roundhouse. Claim a spot by the fireplace, order a fancy cocktail and some bar bites, and admire the beautiful view of the falls from indoors. The perfect spot to meet up with friends or just enjoy a quiet moment alone.

Oliver Kita – Rhinebeck
This artisan, hand-crafted chocolate shop already has quite the reputation for its unique flavors and organic treats, but did you know that they have some of the most unbelievable hot chocolate we’ve ever tasted?! The secret hot chocolate concoction is the perfect rich treat to warm up and indulge.

Hudson Beach Glass – Beacon
Some of you may be scratching your heads at this one, but the heat from the furnace in this glass blowing studio is no joke! Whether you’re taking a class or just popping in for a visit this winter, Hudson Beach Glass is a great place to defrost while you admire the beautiful and unique pieces of glass-blown art.

Hudson River Yoga – Poughkeepsie
Walk into a warm room for a relaxing and strengthening power vinyasa flow. Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or a beginner, everyone is welcome at Hudson River Yoga. It’s the perfect place to escape the cold, deepen your practice, all while having fun and leaving class feeling revitalized.

Millbrook Vineyards & Winery – Millbrook
It doesn’t just have to be hot beverages that warm your core, sometimes a nice glass of red wine is all you need. Plan a trip to Millbrook Vineyards & Winery, where you can enjoy the gorgeous views of the vineyard from their upstairs tasting room, fully equipped with a fireplace. We highly recommend the Hunt Country Red – grab a bottle to bring home and enjoy too!

Taconic Distillery – Stanfordville
If wine isn’t enough for you, turn to the hard stuff – that will warm you right up! I think we can all agree the smooth, vanilla and caramel notes in a good bourbon can warm you right to the core. With an impressive selection of award-winning whiskeys, Taconic Distillery is just the place to enjoy a signature cocktail or sip it straight!
