Free Movies Under the Walkway

Are you looking for something free to do in Dutchess County on Saturday nights this summer? Look no further because five free, family-friendly movies will be shown on the big screen beneath the Walkway Over the Hudson at the Upper Landing Park in Poughkeepsie throughout the summer. Live musical entertainment, contests, and fun for the whole family will precede each movie.

The screening dates and movie line up are:  

June 30th  - Wonder Woman 

July 14th  - Jumanji (2017) 

July 21st  - Star Wars – The Last Jedi

August 4th  - Coco 

August 18th  - Black Panther

The fun begins with the bands and children’s activities at 7 pm, followed by the feature film at sundown at approximately 8:30 pm. These screenings are held under the stars at the Upper Landing Park, located at 83 North Water Street in the City of Poughkeepsie. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to sit back on, and enjoy the movies. The events are held in sunshine only.

These community events are free and EVERYONE is invited to attend. Local vendors will be on hand to provide food and beverages. Free parking is available at the Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum and the Poughkeepsie tran station nearby.

Do not miss the opportunity to make lasting memories with your family and friends this summer! Summer nights in Dutchess County are extremely beautiful, so bring the whole family out enjoy them while they last. This free event is every Saturday night, starting on June 30th.
