Four Fab Finds at Dutchess Handmade Pop-Up
Shop Open Through May 19!
Thinking about what to get a special mom for Mother’s Day? To the rescue; a Pop-Up shop sponsored by Arts Mid-Hudson showcasing locally-made arts and crafts from 50 artisans. Open daily through May 19, this bi-annual event features a curated selection of glass, jewelry, greeting cards, textiles, ceramics, wood products, prints, paintings, home decorating items and more.
We stopped in and spotted these amazing finds:
These bowls are made by Oscar Burkowske of Cinton Corners. Burkowske creates vessels, toys, and other crafts that showcase the beautiful grain of wood from fallen reclaimed trees.
Yvonne Laube designs much of her work, including stationery and magnets, using laser-cutting technology. This jewelry line is made from hand painted wood, leather, and metals.
Jewelry designer and photographer Susan Bores created this bracelet collection from antiqued brass, embellished with stones and crystals like carnelian, citrine, and labradorite.
Nicole Hughes, the artist behind Nikita Fine and Photography, elevates the standard bread and cheese serving board with a glossy ceramic edge.
The Pop Up Shop is located at the Arts Mid-Hudson offices, 696 Dutchess Turnpike (Route 44) in Poughkeepsie, NY. Hours: Monday - Friday 9:30am - 5:30pm; and Saturday 10:00am - 3:00pm.
