Date Published: June 20, 2018

Not all dishes are worth a long drive – but the goat cheese wontons at Terrapin in Rhinebeck are. So is the pulled pork rice bowl at Twisted Soul Food Concepts in Poughkeepsie, and the mac and cheese with prosciutto at Monte's Local Kitchen & Tap Room in Amenia.

These are just a few of the amazing, Instagram-worthy dishes in Dutchess County. Our new video features ten top culinary experiences; but here are a few of our favorite places to tempt your taste buds.

Heritage Food & Drink

This new modern-yet-rustic eatery in Wappingers Falls is a celebration of all things local; from beer to beets to beef. Stop by for happy hour (retractable floor-to-celing windows extend the space to an outdoor patio) for house made charcuterie and a selection from the extensive whiskey list. The honey butter potato chips are on the lunch, brunch, and dinner menus as well.

Monte’s Local Kitchen & Tap Room

Indulge in New American cuisine with an Italian flare prepared by a “Chopped” Champion, Chef Dafna Mizrahi. Monte’s Local Kitchen & Tap Room, located in Amenia, offers an incredible selection of appetizers and entrees, as well as specialty cocktails, wines, and beers.

Harney Tea Shop
