Dutchess Welcomes International Tour Operators and Travel Writers
Dutchess Tourism staff have welcomed several international tour operators and travel writers on familiarization tours this fall to discover what makes us Distinctly Dutchess. These include seven tour operators and five travel writers through Norwegian Air and I Love NY’s United Kingdom branch, four Australian travel writers, and an agent from Barrhead Travel, the UK’s #1 online travel agency. We are hard at work bringing international visitors to Dutchess, and some have even recently visited our office. Thank you to all of our partners for your continued support!
Message from Mary Kay Vrba:
“We're already planning the 2019 Dutchess County Destination Guide, an outstanding resource for potential visitors. As you draft your 2019 budget, be sure to include a destination guide ad in your marketing plan. Already a cost effective advertising medium for tourism businesses, it’s also the ONLY WAY to have a rotating banner ad for one full year on our website! We are also in the process of wrapping up our visitor profile study with Young Strategies, which will be used to develop our strategic plan as we continue to build Dutchess as a destination. Thank you for your support, and I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!”
