In 2017, the Tourism Industry Coalition (TIC) updated its annual lobbying day into a reception/networking event. Join tourism industry professionals to meet with our NYS elected officials to remind them that tourism works, and needs continued support. Tourism plays a vital role in the State's economic well-being. Make sure your voice is heard. Registration fee of $39 includes continental breakfast buffet. RSVP deadline Thursday, March 8th!
Tourism Trends Conference April 4th
Do not miss this important day of information designed to help you strengthen your tourism-related business. Speakers will discuss local, state, and national trends as well as how to reach international visitors, including the lucrative Chinese market. A full day is planned, 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m., for Dutchess County businesses while tourism businesses throughout the Hudson Valley region are invited to join in 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m. The morning will focus on what’s happening in Dutchess, our upcoming visitor profile study, and an introduction to the new extranet of DTI’s website which will allow partners to update their listings, event and images directly. The afternoon will begin with a luncheon featuring key note speaker, Ross Levi, NYS’s executive director of tourism, followed by breakout sessions. $50/person. National Travel & Tourism Week, May 6 – 12.
Celebrate National Travel and Tourism Week with us on Tuesday, May 8. The day will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a special breakfast where the annual Dutchess Tourism Awards of Distinction will be presented in seven categories. Submit your nominations (500 words max.) of who you feel is worthy to mrottkamp@DutchessTourism.com by March 30th. Past winners are not eligible! $40/person or purchase a combo ticket to Trends Conference and Awards Breakfast for $80. Sponsorships available.
The breakfast will be followed by our popular Brochure Exchange at 10:00 a.m. where tourism related businesses located in Dutchess County are invited to bring at least 300 of their brochures to share in order to cross-promote to visitors. There is no charge to participate in the exchange. Both events will take place at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library & Museum in Hyde Park.
