The Scottish-style castle on the Hudson River was built in the early 1900s by Frank Bannerman, VI. to store military surplus items. The Pollepel shuttles you to the island for a guided tour around the castle, residence and restored gardens: trails have some rough terrain, 75 stairs. Accessible via water only.
