All There is to Experience in: Pleasant Valley and Salt Point

As the name might allude to, Pleasant Valley is agrarian and much of the land is devoted to dairying and fruit growing. In early days, a turnpike between Connecticut and Poughkeepsie provided farmers a route to Hudson River markets. Fun at any age, visit Lilymoore Alpaca Farm to walk an alpaca or get a behind the scenes farm tour. For nearly 50 years, the Aquatic Explorers have hosted the Wappinger Creek Water Derby – an 8-mile canoe/kayak race down the longest creek in the county – starting at the Pleasant Valley Recreation Center.
