Warm weather drives events outside, leading to unforgettable festivals celebrating the very best Hudson Valley cuisine and craft beverage. Hudson Valley Cider, Seltzer and Sour Fest

Saturday, June 1, 2-6 p.m. at Barton Orchards, Poughquag

Kick off summer food and drink festival season with a glorious day at Barton Orchards in Poughquag. Hudson Valley Cider, Seltzer and Sour Fest celebrates the very best of the region’s craft beverage scene. Tickets grant visitors unlimited tastings of sour beers, hard seltzers and local ciders, right in the middle of an apple orchard. Eat Drink Beacon Food Crawl

Saturday, June 1, 3-7 p.m. on Main Street, Beacon

Foodies visit Beacon from far and wide for its vast range of culinary options. Head to Main Street on June 3 for the Eat Drink Beacon Food Crawl. Tickets include samples of small bites, craft beverages, indulgent desserts and much more. Feast on everything from authentic shawarma and ceremonial grade matcha lattes to southern style BBQ and spicy margaritas. More than 20 businesses are participating, including stops for high-quality bath and body products, guitars and the hip and retro Happy Valley Arcade Bar for games and drink specials. Strawberry Festival 

Sunday, June 2, 1-4 p.m. at Brinckerhoff House Historic Site, Hopewell Junction

Strawberry season is a major highlight of visiting Dutchess County in June. Celebrate the region’s bounty at The East Fishkill Historical Society’s Annual Strawberry Festival. This fun, family-friendly event features tours of the Brinckerhoff House Historic Site, a property dating back to the 1700s. Sunday, June 9, 12-5 p.m. at Pete and Toshi Seegar Riverfront Park, Beacon

Strawberry shortcake fans, you’re in luck! Dutchess County has festivals celebrating the beautiful red fruit on back to back weekends. Visit Beacon’s breathtaking riverfront for dozens of vendors and two stages for live music. Treats include light and refreshing shortcake, chocolate-covered strawberries, fresh smoothies and more. In addition, festival-goers interested in experiencing the Hudson River firsthand have the opportunity to take a sail on the schooner Woody Guthrie. This event is put on by the Beacon Sloop Club, an affiliate of the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater non-profit organization (that’s dedicated to the river’s protection.) Hudson Valley Food Truck Festival 

Saturday, June 15, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at Barton Orchards, Poughquag 

Bring your family — and your appetite — to Barton Orchards for the Hudson Valley Food Truck Festival, the ultimate foodie extravaganza! Indulge in all the sweet and savory flavors of the Hudson Valley as you dig into delectable dishes from a wide variety of food trucks and vendors. Greek Festival Poughkeepsie

Friday-Sunday, June 21-23 at Poughkeepsie Hellenic Center, Poughkeepsie

Experience the smells of tasty Mediterranean specialties at Poughkeepsie’s three-day Greek Festival. This unique event honors the music, food and culture of Hellenic people hosted by the Kimisis Greek Orthodox Church for over four decades. ​Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest

Saturday and Sunday, September 7-8 at Dutchess County Fairgrounds, Rhinebeck

Join us in Dutchess County the weekend of September 7th and 8th for the annual Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest at the iconic Dutchess​ County Fairgrounds! The event is a true celebration of everything the Hudson Valley has to offer. Pair gourmet and specialty foods with local wines, ciders, beers, spirits and more. Naturally, a number of local Dutchess County craft beverages will be represented. So far, Millbrook Vineyards & Winery, Milea Estate Vineyard, Taconic Distillery and Sloop Brewing Co. have been announced (stay tuned for more additions.) Sample and stock up on everything from farm-fresh cheeses, farm raised meats, salsa, BBQ sauce, pasta, baked goods, maple syrup, granola and more!
