The Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site, in partnership with the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum and Taconic Resources for Independence, presents a Disability Film Club screening of the 2005 film "Warm Springs" in the Wallace Center at the FDR Presidential Library and Home.
This is the first film screening of the newly established Disability Film Club, which will feature movies and documentaries covering a range of disability subjects. All screenings will be closed captioned.
Starring Kenneth Branagh, Cynthia Nixon, Kathy Bates, and David Paymer, "Warm Springs" is a biopic that explores FDR's life after he became paralyzed by polio in 1921 and his subsequent rehabilitation at a rural Georgia health spa.
