The Stissing Center Hosts Screening of "Waitress" with Themed Happy Hour

The Stissing Center hosts a pop-up film screening of "Waitress" with a movie-inspired happy hour featuring Hudson Valley specialties, including wine and cider from Rose Hill Farm, beer from Suarez Family Brewery and seasonal, savory and sweet hand pies and tarts from baker Sarah Lease Burge. The "Waitress" original soundtrack will be performed during the happy hour by Slink Moss & The Unfinish'd. The evening is brought to you by the Boondocks Film Society & The Stissing Center with proceeds benefitting the Adrienne Shelly Foundation, supporting women in film. Click here to purchase tickets.

Movie synopsis: Jenna (Keri Russell) works in a diner in a small Southern town and is a genius at creating luscious desserts, but her marriage to an overbearing lout (Jeremy Sisto) makes happiness impossible. When she discovers she is pregnant, she makes plans to skip town before her condition is obvious. However, she begins an affair with the new town doctor (Nathan Fillion), who is the only one who knows her secret.
