Sunrise Stroll at the Walkway Over the Hudson

There is nothing nicer than the beautiful, peaceful view of the great view of the Hudson River from 212 feet high at sunrise! For the Sunrise Stroll, start at either the East Walkway Gate (61 Parker Avenue in Poughkeepsie)or the West (87 Haviland Road in Highland).Hikers meet at the gate and walk as a group when the gate opens to greet the sunrise. Both sides meet at the flagpole for a photo while the sun is rising. Approximate distance: 1.28 miles; level of difficulty: easy.
