Autism Supportive Environments

Dutchess County has been designated by The Anderson Center for Autism as the first Autism Supportive County in New York State.

Many attractions within our destination are striving to be more accessible and many have created Autism Supportive Environments through training from the Anderson Center for Autism. Click to see a complete list of certified attractions.

The Village of Rhinebeck - Certified Autism Supportive Community.

More than 68% of Rhinebeck’s businesses, as well as event planners, first responders, and residents have undergone training. They have incorporated things like quiet spaces, sensory kits, lower light/music, reduced wait times, advance ordering and more.
