Elysium Furnace Works - David Torn Solo Concert at the Howland Cultural Center

The legendary guitarist, composer and producer David Torn (David Bowie, Don Cherry, k.d. lang, John Legend, Madonna, Tori Amos, Tim Berne, among many others) will perform a solo concert at the Howland Cultural Center in Beacon, NY. This performance will launch a live music series produced under the aegis of a new arts presentation cooperative, Elysium Furnace Works.

Elysium Furnace Works is a cooperative project co-led by Mike Faloon, James Keepnews and Steve Ventura. Elysium Furnace Works seeks to present the work of vanguard artists in settings as dedicated and uncompromising as the art itself, focusing primarily although not exclusively on live music performances in and around Beacon, NY. 

In addition to David Torn's kickoff performance, EFW's upcoming slate concerts for 2017 includes:

April 20: Karl Berger/Ingrid Sertso Quintet 

May 4: Fly or Die Performance at St. Andrew's Church

May 26: Jason Kao Hwang Trio

July 22: Sylvie Courvoisier Trio

September 11: Tom Rainey Trio  

Note that all the performances listed above will take place at the Howland Cultural Center, except for Fly or Die's 5/4 concert, which will take place at St. Andrew's Church, located at 17 South Ave. in Beacon, NY.
