This selection of works by Walter De Maria—drawn primarily from Dia Art Foundation’s collection—presents small-scale objects that were mostly produced between 1961 and 1966.

Robert Morris Long–term view, Dia:Beacon

Robert Morris moved to New York City in 1959, where he studied art history and was active in the experimental dance and performance scene through the Judson Dance Theater in Greenwich Village.

Robert Irwin: Excursus: Homage to the Square³  Long–term view, Dia:Beacon

Robert Irwin's landmark site-specific work Excursus: Homage to the Square3 exemplifies the artist's practice of creating environments that bring attention to spatial relations and the subtleties of perception. This presentation is the artist's first at Dia:Beacon—a building and grounds whose master plan he designed—and it upholds hispivotal explorations of the interconnectedness of art and architecture.
