Birding at Cary Institute With The Ralph T. Waterman Bird Club

join the Cary Institute and the Ralph T. Waterman Bird Club for three walks on the grounds of the Cary Institute on May 7, June 4 and July 2 from 8 a.m. - 10 a.m.

The guided walks offer opportunities for beginning to advanced birders to observe and identify local birds in different habitats.

May 7 - The walk begins at the Gifford - Cary East parking lot and proceeds along the fields, streamsides and forests.

June 4 - The walk begins at the Main Campus parking lot and passes through the hemlock ravine along Wappinger Creek, on the way to or through forests normally closed to the public.

July 2 - The walk begins at the Cary West (Rt. 82)parking lot and proceeds along the fields and forests normally closed to the public.
The events are free and open to the public. Register for one walk or all three walks at http://www.caryinstitute.org/events.

From April 1 to October 31, trails are open from sunrise to sunset. The internal roadway gates open at 8:30 am; gates are locked at 7 pm.
