A Special Screening of "Nineteen Eighty-Four (1984)" at The Moviehouse Studio Gallery in Millerton

Following the movie, there will be a Discussion and Q&A with Professor Roger Berkowitz, Director of the Hannah Arendt Center for the Humanities and Politics, Bard College.

The Moviehouse, will participate with over ninety art house movie theaters across the country (in 81 cities and in 35 states) in a nationwide screening of the movie Nineteen Eighty-Four (1984), based on the bestselling dystopian novel by George Orwell which begins with the sentence “It was a bright cold day in April, and the clocks were striking thirteen.”

Participating theaters will be donating a portion of their proceeds from the event to local charities and organizations, and The Moviehouse has chosen The Hannah Arendt Center as its beneficiary.
