Lecture- Shooting (or Capturing) Ghosts: The History of Spirit Photography at Clermont State Historic Site

Come to Clermont and hear Historic Interpreter Zachary Veith discuss the invention of what was known as Spirit Photography. At a time when the idea of photographs was relatively new and the influence of Spiritualism was on the rise, many photographers claimed to be able to able to capture the image of the dearly departed. And many folks, including the famed author of Sherlock Holmes, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, were more than ready to believe it.
