CANCELLED: Sinterklaas ~ An Old Dutch Tradition ~ Parade and Festivities in Rhinebeck

Mounted on a white steed, Sinterklaas is the "predecessor" of Santa Claus, accompanied by Grumpus, a wild lookng half-man half-beast.  The entire village of Rhinebeck is filled with entertainment all day, with the Children's Starlight Parade at dusk.

Every year brings new events and characters to dazzle the community, honor the children and bring light to this darkest time of the year. Sinterklaas festivities entertain with over 250 musicians, actors, magicians and other magical performers!  It draws on the Hudson Valley’s Dutch heritage, but with some modern day twists. Children are the focus — becoming kings and queens for the day!
