Indigenous Peoples' Day History Sail on Sloop Clearwater - Beacon

Indigenous Peoples

Join us to commemorate Oct. 14 as Indigenous People’s Day. Before colonists settled the Hudson Valley, Indigenous People thrived here. Sadly, most of this history is not taught in school. Chief Mann of the Ramapough Turtle Clan and Evan Pritchard, Native American history and descendant of the Mi'kmaq people, will be on board sharing valuable stories and lessons in history and culture of Indigenous people in the Valley. Get your tickets before they sell out: clearwater.org. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Ramapough Turtle Clan.
