Meet some of the men & women who contributed to the history of the Hudson Valley!

In conjunction with New Your State’s Path Through History weekend, the Wappingers Historical Society will be offering a special, interactive costumed guided tours of the Mesier Homestead and Museum, located in the Village of Wappingers Falls, on Sunday, October 13, 2019.

Visitors will be able to meet the men and women who contributed to the history of the Hudson Valley. Costumed historic characters include famed Revolutionary War spy Enoch Crosby, Phrenologist Orson Fowler, baseball great Dan Brouthers, as well as “friends” of abolitionist and women’s rights activist Sojourner Truth and the last Native American sachem (chief) of the Wappinger tribe, Daniel Nimham. These roles will be portrayed by volunteers from the Wappingers Historical Society and R. C. Ketcham High School.

Volunteer-led tours will depart every hour, beginning at 1:00pm. The last tour will be at 3:30pm.
