Ancestral Voices: How Objects Tell Stories at Clermont State Historic Site

Ancestral Voices: How Objects Tell Stories: Sarah D. Coffin, decorative arts historian, consultant and curator, and former Curator and Head of Product Design and Decorative Arts at Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, will offer Ancestral Voices: How Objects Tell Stories, a talk and on-site look at Clermont of some of the objects featured in Paintings, Sculpture & Decorative Arts at Clermont (2018) for which she wrote the preface and assisted with the preparation of texts. A look at the objects with an eye that connects them and helps tell Livingston family history as well as showing the works significance as objects in their own right.
