Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site

The spring & fall home of Frederick and Louise Vanderbilt; he was the grandson of the Commodore. Formal Italian gardens and extensive Hudson River-view grounds. The Overlook has an exceptional view of the river and Catskill Mountains on the west side.

4097 Albany Post Rd. is the location of the National Park Service (NPS) headquarters in Bellefield, the yellow mansion in front of the FDR Home, Library & Musuem. The Vanderbilt Mansion is located 2 miles north of this address on Route 9. Open daily 9am-5pm. Closed Thanksgivng day, Christmas day and New Year's day only.

November through March the tours of the Vanderbilt Mansion are limited, please call ahead, 845-229-7770. The last tour of the day is at 4:00pm.
