Board the Dutchess County Farm Fresh Link shuttle at Poughkeepsie Station for your first stop at Gigi Market.  Set in a converted, 19th century dairy barn amid scenic farmland, the market features mouth-watering feasts of baked goods and prepared foods.  Enjoy the country air at this year-round farmers’ market and gourmet store which celebrates the bounty of the Hudson Valley and its local food artisans.  Call Gigi Market at 845-758-1999 at least 24 hours ahead of your visit to reserve a boxed lunch. The boxed lunch will consist of (pannini, fruit, side salad, cookie, and a beverage for an additional cost of $12. You may also order a la carte from the Gigi Market menu, at an additional cost.)

 

Next you can pick fresh, seasonal goods at Greig Farm, a 500-acre property with beautiful views.

 

 

 

Toast the end of the day at your last stop, Clinton Vineyards, award-winning producer of fine wines and champagne made in the classic French mẻthod champenoise and hand-crafted dessert wines.  Relax in the intimate tasting room, visit the wine-making facilities in the adjacent historic barn, or stroll around the magnificent estate grounds.  (Tasting fee is $7 per person and is in addition to the package price.) 

The Dutchess County Farm Fresh Link shuttle will stay with you all day, transporting you to the various locations and bringing you back to Poughkeepsie Station for the return trip home.  Reservations for the Dutchess County Farm Fresh Link shuttle are required in advance by calling 800-445-3131 and selecting "0" for an operator.  Reservations must be made at least 48 hours in advance.  Once you've made your reservation, purchase your rail and shuttle ticket any Metro-North station with a ticket office (except Poughkeepsie Station, at all full-service ticket machines (except Poughkeepsie Station), or online through WebTicket at www.mta.info .

TRAVEL INFORMATION:

Be sure to get a customer letter prior to your trip.   Take the Hudson Line to Poughkeepsie Station.  The bus will meet the train departing Grand Central Terminal at 8:50 a.m., arriving at the Poughkeepsie Station at 10:39 a.m.  When you get to Poughkeepsie Station, follow the signs to the bus area and look for the  bus stop.  Your bus will be the one with a sign that reads “Dutchess County Farm Fresh Link.”
